Annual BARBEQUE Coordinator – Rounding up some barbeque's is just the first step in organizing this fun event. It pretty much runs itself but it does need someone making sure all the details are in place. This person will work with the Volunteer Coordinator as well for finding people to fill the fabulous positions that make this a fun family event. (Some positions already have volunteers in place – so some of your work has already been taken care of) This position is on a yearly basis – so try it out but don’t fear that you’ll need to do it every year until the end of eternity! :-)
Parent Support Group Coordinator - Send out reminders for up coming meetings. Coordinate small group volunteers. Organize topics for discussion (and potentially special speakers). Coordinate snacks. (All theses duties can be shared with attendees, not necessarily all on the plate of the coordinator.
Supplies Procurement: Do you like to shop? Are you good at finding a great deal? There are many supplies that need to be purchased – mostly before the start of each session, but sometimes also mid-session as levels run out. We’re talking things like: Lysol Wipes, Plates, cups, flatware, napkins, paper towels, hand sanitizer, coffee, copy paper etc. This has been a mish-mosh of people just grabbing things here and there when they think stuff is needed. To have one person who knows where the supplies are and how much we have would be a real relief off of many over taxed memories. A membership to Costco is a must for this position.
Social Networking Admin: Right now this will mostly consist of keeping the Friday School calendar up to date on our website and other web updates. Things like posting Field Trips, plays, special events, Friday school announcements, break room & set up/clean up volunteers. Creating events through our First Class database so that event coordinators can choose to manage their trips straight from our database. If you have a vision for this type of activity and can see it expanding in to other areas of the social media universe (facebook, twitter etc) we want to hear from you!
